You were diligent, thorough, on top of all the issues, and always kept my company up to speed on any potential transactions. I have to tell you, however, that the absolute best part of working with you is your integrity. As you recall, prior to the current purchaser purchasing our property, we had another prospective buyer who put a very good offer on the table for us. We had no idea who the buyer was based on the contract and we probably would not have asked too many questions. It was only thanks to your due diligence in exploring who the buyer and his affiliates were that revealed that the prospective buyer .,.,,as in fact a direct competitor of our adjacent senior living facility. As architects, our expertise is in knowing how to design, develop, and oversee construction projects. I knew very little about developing real estate. I learned by working with Jerry that there is a lot more to real estate than just the bricks and mortar i.e., market conditions, the price of land in today’s market and recommending several due diligence points to the purchase agreement to insure that we weren’t buying a property with hidden problems.
